It’s important to take care of your teeth by brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash daily. I admit, I didn’t always take the time to do all three daily, or even brush twice a day (I always brushed in the morning, but didn’t always do so before bedtime), but after a couple of painful dental visits that involved way too much teeth cleaning, I changed my ways. Proper dental care will not only improve the look of your teeth (whiter enamel, fewer stains, less plaque build-up), but most importantly it will improve the health of your teeth.
Oral-B, high quality manufacturer of many dental products including both manual and electric toothbrushes, as well as dental floss, has an entire section of their website dedicated to dental health, and a great basic article on proper dental care. As the article points out, following a proper dental care routine of brushing twice per day and flossing twice per day can go a long way in preventing cavities, tooth decay, gingivitis, and other serious dental problems.
Recently Oral-B provided me with Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss, which I was excited to try mostly because of the promising of the floss being up to 50% easier to get into tight spaces. Due to overcrowding some of my teeth are very close together, and it can be uncomfortable and/or difficult to maneuver dental floss between them. Other leading features of this floss:
- removes food particles and plaque
- gently stimulates gums for improved blood flow
- refreshes gums and mouth with a minty cool sensation
- light natural wax coating makes it easier to grip and slide
In conjunction with Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss I was also provided with:
- Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush: criss-cross bristles combine with Oral-B’s premium toothbrush features to remove up to 99% of plaque and up to 55% of particles along the gum line
- Crest Complete Multi-Benefit Whitening + Deep Clean Toothpaste: mint-flavored toothpaste that provides a deep, thorough cleaning
- Scope Outlast Mouthwash: mint-flavored mouthwash that kills 99% of odor-causing germs
My dental routine has been consistent, not to mention improved, since switching to these Oral-B & Oral-B-backed products. Twice each day I brush my teeth (I love the feel of the CrossAction brush – firm and thorough), use Oral-B’s Pro-Health floss, and finish up by swishing with Scope Outlast. My teeth are noticeably whiter, but more importantly they look and feel super-clean, and there’s absolutely no plaque build-up along my gum lines.
Of my four new dental routine products, I’ve noticed the biggest difference by using Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss in place of the floss I was using before. As promised in the product description, Oral-B Floss is indeed easier to grip and maneuver, and I’ve been able to fit it between all of my teeth, even the tightly crowded ones located in the front of my mouth. It’s smooth and comfortable, and without going into gross details, let’s just say that it does an excellent job of removing particles and plaque. And the subtle minty aftertaste? Refreshing and pleasant.
