NeriumAD (giveaway)

Given that my 29th birthday is coming up in three months, it should be no surprise to hear that starting about a year and a half back, I began paying more attention to my skin. Specifically, I focused more on taking good care of my face. Sun, exposure to chemicals, makeup, and even the natural oils and impurities that build up on skin can all have an effect on the look, feel, and overall quality of skin. Using high quality moisturizers can make all of the difference in the world when it comes to protecting and providing essential nourishment to skin.

NeriumAD logo NeriumAD is a product I was offered for review back in mid-January, and since receiving it I have been using it daily. NeriumAD is a scientifically formulated moisturizer that is designed specifically to not only protect and nourish skin, but to also provide age-defying results. NeriumAD’s most important ingredient is NAE-8, which is extracted directly from the Nerium oleander plant – hence the name NeriumAD (Nerium Age-Defying). Besides providing nourishment and protection against aging signs, NeriumAD also evens skin tone, decreases the size of pores, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

NeriumAD is designed more as a treatment product than as a daily moisturizer. In my opinion it’s best to use at night, after cleansing your face and leaving the skin warm and damp. 4-5 pumps is ideal for creating a thin layer all over your face and neck. In the morning, rinse your face clean before applying any other products.

I have been using NeriumAD several times a week for about six weeks now, and I’m really liking the results. While the cream does initially feel a little “thick”, and I’ve noticed a bit of “drag” when smoothing it over my skin, the results I get once it has been on are great: my skin feels smooth, more supple, and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in the somewhat dull skin tone I dealt with in the dead of winter.

I took before & after photos to show how my skin has improved since starting NeriumAD, but I have to be honest with you: February and the beginning of March was a very hard month for me. My kids were sick with pneumonia; then I became sick with pneumonia; then I had emergency abdominal surgery (small bowel perforation) on February 18th — which was followed by a 4-day hospital stay due to the type of surgery, risk of infection, and bad pneumonia; on March 1st we had to euthanize one of our cats; and then my husband became sick with pneumonia. The last five weeks have been very exhausting, stressful, and wearing, both physically and mentally – and I’m afraid that this shows in my “after” photo, even though the quality of my skin has definitely improved! 1. It’s about time I start moisturizing daily.

  2. I learned it is made from the Nerium oleander plant. I have Oleander trees in my yard, I will have to check to see if there is any relation.

Wow you get some great skin care products to review! I am jealous :)
